Former ABC radio presenter, Gillian O'Shaughnessy discusses her new found success in the world of Flash Fiction.
Having called it a day on a very successful (and exhausting!) radio career, you would think Gillian O'Shaughnessy would be ready to put her feet up and take a break. Instead, the former ABC presenter has jumped head first into the world of flash fiction.
Her work has won a number of awards, and has been published both nationally and internationally. You can find her short fiction in the Bath Flash Fiction anthology, Restore to Factory Settings, (2020), Once: a selection of short, short stories (Night Parrot Press 2020), SmokeLong Quarterly, the Reflex Fiction anthology, Beguiled by a Wild Thing and the Night Parrot Press collection, Twice Not Shy: 100 short short stories (2021), and more.
Against the dulcet tones of her dog Huey's snoring, Gill discusses her new found love for creative writing, what makes an award-winning piece of flash fiction, and more.
